You want to improve your language skills and are looking for courses that are paid by the Arbeitsamt / the Jobcenter (the Federal Agency for Employment)? No problem! At GLS - a 5 time winner of the Star School Germany award - you'll find not only English courses that are paid for by the employment office, but also subsidized training as a DaF teacher and courses that teach German as a foreign language and web development.
1. Business English - English for the job
Our "Fit for the Job" English course, which is funded by the German Federal Employment Agency (Agentur für Arbeit) or the Job Center (Jobcenter), takes place as individual lessons - either as face-to-face lessons at the GLS campus in Berlin Prenzlauer Berg or online. We select your teacher according to your professional background and your personal goals. You can flexibly determine the lesson times with your teacher.

2. Training as DaF (Deutsch als Fremdsprache) teacher:in in Berlin
You have an academic background and German language skills at level C1 or higher? Then take a look at our AZAV-certified and Jobcenter-funded 4-week continuing education program for the profession of teacher in the field of DaF German as a foreign language (or DaZ German as a second language).
It takes place several times a year and enables you to work at private language schools in Germany and abroad.
GLS - authorized educational provider
GLS is DEKRA certified as an authorized educational provider of language courses funded by the “Agentur für Arbeit” and the “Jobcenter”. It has a quality management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001:2015.
Both face-to-face and online classes
All English courses can be booked either as face-to-face classes at the GLS Campus in Berlin Prenzlauer Berg or as online classes. You can arrange flexible class times with your teacher. To participate, you need an activation and placement voucher ("Aktivierungs- und Vermittlungsgutschein"). We will prepare an individual offer for you, which you can submit to the employment agency or job center.
